I suck at this.

Wed Sep 24, 2008, 8:27 AM
So, I'm really bad at updating this buggering thing, if you haven't noticed.

News: I'M IN TAIWAN! If you hadn't noticed from my last few pictures I put up. It's absolutely amazing. Yes, it's very very very hot here, but after a few days that isn't really noticeable. The humidity is what kills. I feel like I'm breathing a solid. Believe me when I say walking outside does not have the "ahhhh, fresh air" feel I'm used to in Oregon.

Other than that, things are dreamy. The people here are so sweet and lovely. Though they do assume that, as Americans, we don't know how to clean or cook. Which is a little frustrating. I think the cooking thing is partially because it's more in their culture to go out to eat instead of making their own dinners. Which I'm sooooo not used to!

Of the craziest things I've done so far, I have to say that eating snake soup was the worst. First, I got to watch the guy whack a very large snake on a table to stun it. Then he hung it by the neck form the cieling. Still alive. Cut it up the belly and bled it dry. While it was living. Then he removed the venom and the gall bladder. These three things were made into three separate drinks. The blood is good to flush toxins from your body, the venom is good for your skin and the contents of the gall bladder is good for your eyes. Supposedly. After all this, I got to go eat some snake. EEEK! It was actually pretty good. The broth was really sweet, and the flesh of the snake was kind of like eating the meat of a fish, but tasted more like a chicken. But sweeter, like the broth. One of the guys who brought us there drank the three health drinks. He was shaking so bad afterwards, but he was very proud of himself. Heh, he started calling friends to boast. Anywho, this is me, signing off. More updates to come!

I'm still alive!

Wed May 7, 2008, 12:57 AM
Hello everyone! Sorry I disappeared for a while. It seems like a very bad habit of mine. Whoops. Anywho, I'm still alive. Barely. I think I'm only making it through this week with my sanity because I have no Women's Studies homework this week. Uhg! All of my classes require so much homework!

As most of you probably know, though some of your don't, I'M GOING TO TAIWAN IN THE FAAAAAALL! Money is gonna be sooooooo freaking tight this term because of it, but I'm going, and that's that. I'm going through my department, so it's only going to cost me barely more than a term here at OSU. I'mso freaking excited! I'm going with 12 other girls and two people leading the group. I'll be there for a term, and our classes are only Tuesday morning through Thursday morning. So we have baaaasically a four and a half day weekend! HECK YES! I can travel all I want. I mean, obviously I'd have to pay for it. But I'm planning on saving ALL my money over summer (except what I need to pay bills and gas and such) for spending money. YAY! Oh, and I'm going to be learning Mandarin Chinese. Mwahaha.

Other than that, artwork has basically stopped. I have no time to be creative. And when I do have time, I'm soooo tired that I can't think of anything. Over the summer and once I'm in Taiwan, there will be stuff, believe me.

I'm back again

Sat Jan 26, 2008, 2:24 AM
I'm going to actually update my Journal. O. M. G.

Anywho. I'm fairly alive. College is kicking my well rounded behind, like normal. But I'm actually enjoying my classes at the moment, which is amazing, and hurrahness!

I am thinking of doing a transfer student program to Taiwan for a term next year. Which I'm psyched about, but terribly worried that I won't be allowed to go, considering my academic standing. I have a fairly low GPA, but it's improving! Damn single term fucking me over.

What else can I say?? Life is here. And not beinding to my will..

I can't believe that it's been nearly a year since I have updated this journal. Oh my oh my. As you can see from my recent journal entries, I'm becoming more involved with photography. Not professionally, of course. But I see myself getting better at it slowly, which makes me happy, since I adore taking pictures, and always have.

I honestly can't think of anything else to say. I hope you're all doing well and like what I post...
